Authenticity is ensured by a chain of confidence, that means the sender is know and the person/ body who receives as well (i.e. digital signature or by other means).
Archiving
The publishing body and authority responsible for the publication of legislation (JP NIO Službeni list Bosne i Hercegovine) takes care of archiving. Legal provisions for archiving electronic versions of legislation / electronic official texts in general exist, but the internal rules of procedure of the publishing body are even more restrictive and more secure.
The Legislative Office by Parliament Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina drafts the texts.
A special text processing system exists, a combination of standard software packages and specific software.
Different systems are used for primary and secondary (delegated) legislation.
Texts are directly exported to XML format.
Workflow
There is no single integrated electronic workflow system for drafting, adopting and publishing at the moment, but the authority is currently developing such a system.
Publishing
The editorial department of the publishing body is in charge of proofreading and editing.
The minimum period between reception of the draft by the publishing workflow and availability of the published text amounts to few hours.
The paper and electronic versions are derived from the same final text file and are published at the same time.
