Regional and urban policy
To strengthen its economic, social and territorial cohesion, the EU aims at reducing disparities between the levels of development of the various regions and support the least favoured regions.
To ensure that unnecessary costs are removed and rules are as effective and efficient as possible, since 2015 under REFIT, 4 initiatives have been adopted and 1 is pending adoption. Moreover, 2 evaluations has been finalised and 2 are ongoing.
