IMMC Core Metadata
IMMC Core Metadata, within the context of the Interinstitutional Metadata Maintenance Committee (IMMC), is defined as: the minimum set of metadata elements relative to the legal decision making process, to be used in the data exchange between the institutions involved and the Publications Office.
In accordance with this definition:
- an extension set has been defined for optional and institution-specific metadata elements;
- participating institutions have also agreed upon the transmission protocol to be used.
The Management Committee of the Publications Office, in its meeting held on 2011.07.08, adopted the IMMC proposal on standardisation of metadata:
