EUR-Lex Workshop
Access to EU legal information
EUR-Lex provides free access to EU legal information, including treaties, legislation, preparatory acts, case-law and many other public documents. It is the single most authoritative source of legal documents from the EU. Moreover, EUR-Lex gives access to the Official Journal of the European Union, where the authentic versions of many of these documents are available.
In this session participants had the opportunity to discover how EUR-Lex contributes to a better understanding of EU law among citizens. With speakers from different backgrounds, topics such as how EU law is made, how it can be consulted online and how it affects citizens' lives were covered. The session also looked at the EU legal information resources, with a specific focus on EUR-Lex and its features.
The session was aimed at a wide audience, including academics, students, legal professionals, civil servants and anyone with an interest in EU law.
