The printed version of the "State Law Gazette" (Liechtensteinisches Landesgesetzblatt) was legally binding until 31 December 2012. Since 1 January 2013 the online edition on www.gesetze.li/chrono/suche has been legally binding in its authentic edition (signed PDF/A), at the same time the publication of the printed version ceased.

The "Landesgesetzblatt" (state law gazette) covers all sorts of legislation (laws, ordinances, notices, treaties …) according to "Publications Act", see legal basis below. |

Authenticity |
The measures to guarantee the integrity of the workflow and the authenticity of the (electronically) published text include a chain of trust. An electronic signature and SSL are used, according to article 9 "Kundmachungsgesetz" (Publications Act); several copies of the electronic documents are made.

- The bills are drafted by the ministries, verified and adapted by the Government Legal service.
- There is no unique text processing system. A standard software (MS-Word) is used.
- The html and pdf-files, available on http://www.gesetze.li, are being generated from XML-Files based on MS-Word.

There is no single integrated electronic workflow-System. Drafts resp. acts enacted are being exchanged internally in MS-Word, as docx, and published by the government legal service on http://www.gesetze.li as signed PDF/A resp. html. |

- The Government Legal service is in charge of proofreading and editing the texts.
- The period between reception of acts enacted and publishing on http://www.gesetze.li usually runs up to one or two days.
