The EASO Practical guide on the use of country of origin information by case officers is intended as a practical tool accompanying case officers across the European Union and beyond in their daily work. The purpose of the practical guide is to assist case officers with the use of COI at different stages of the procedure – when preparing and conducting the personal interview, and when assessing the application for international protection.
