We are now presenting Edition 4.1 of the thesaurus. Eurovoc is evolving under the influence of all its users, as this new version has been conceived mainly on the basis of proposals from national parliaments, who have thus confirmed their desire to take part in the development of Eurovoc. A thesaurus is a living thing which evolves as a function of the needs felt by the indexers and users of documentary holdings and databases. This is particularly true of Eurovoc, which must reflect the ever-developing concepts of the European Union.
