- Official section (Ofitsialen razdel): all legislative acts, international treaties and agreements, parliamentary decisions, decrees, regulations and rules of the Council of Ministers, decrees of the president, decisions of the Constitutional Court, decisions of the Supreme Administrative Court, rules, ordinances and instructions of ministers and normative acts of other state bodies.
- Non-official section (Neofitsialen razdel): individual administrative acts of ministers and heads of state and municipal bodies; notifications and announcements of ministries, other departments, academies, high schools and research institutes, municipalities; notices: calls for tender, competitions, legal subpoenas and announcements; invitations to corporate general meetings, etc.

The legal bases for the publication of legislation are:
- the law on the state gazette (Zakon za „Darzhaven vestnik“) of 7 November 1995, published in Darzhaven vestnik No 89 of 6 October 1995; latest amendments to the law establishing the online edition of the Darzhaven vestnik were adopted on 31 January 2008 and published in Darzhaven vestnik No 16 of 15 February 2008;
- Rules of procedure of the National Assembly;
- Internal rules of procedure of the Administration of the National Assembly.

No legal provisions for the archiving of gazette editions and the materials published at http://dv.parliament.bg in general exist. The editorial has uploaded the gazette editions up to and including 1989, and the materials – up until 2003. |
