This independent evaluation analyses EU Support to Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment (GEWE) in Partner Countries for the period 2010-2015. Its objectives are to identify key lessons, assess results of the period, and to produce strategic, operational and forward-looking recommendations in order to improve current and future EU and Member State strategies, programmes and actions. Field visits were conducted to 11 countries: Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Bolivia, Haiti, Nicaragua, Morocco and Armenia. The report shows that EU development cooperation and political dialogue has achieved important GEWE results.
