Public Procurement Data Superpowers

Transparency in public procurement – Harnessing artificial intelligence

Event organised by the Publications Office of the European Union

Brussels, 29-30 April 2024

The Publications Office of the European Union, which manages TED (Tenders Electronic Daily) - the EU’s official database for public procurement, is organising the landmark event ‘Public Procurement Data Superpowers: Transparency in Public Procurement – Harnessing artificial intelligence’. The conference will take place on 29-30 April 2024 at the Residence Palace in Brussels and coincides with major anniversaries, including 30 years of the European single market, 40 years since TED’s launch, and 25 years of TED online.

This event aims to take stock of key legal and technical advancements in how European public procurement data are collected and disseminated, and to provide an opportunity to reflect with all stakeholders on how to address the complex landscape of procurement data in the future.

Key topics will include the public procurement data space, artificial intelligence, and eForms – the exclusive standard for publishing procurement data since October 2023. These topics will be presented by expert speakers from national authorities, EU institutions, NGOs, and procurement specialists.

The event will cater to the interests and needs of a diverse audience, including TED data users and reusers, eSenders responsible for submitting procurement-related information to TED for publication, national publishers, academia, policymakers, and more.
