This report provides a synthesis of the replies to Online Public Consultation on the Action Plan for the development of organic production conducted between 4th September and 27th November 2020. The synthesis leads to the conclusion that, to a large extent, respondents share common views on the obstacles to achieving greater production and consumption of organic products; on the main factors that play a role in influencing the demand for organic products and consumer trust; on actions and measures to be implemented for stimulating production and consumption; on the added value of organic produce regarding the environment and climate change, and how the environmental benefits of organic could be further enhanced. The number of responses to the OPC demonstrate the interest of stakeholders in the development of the organic sector, with stakeholders providing inputs on relevant issues as well as useful suggestions on actions to stimulate an increase in production and consumption. The responses also suggest that the Action Plan for the development of organic production should be strongly linked to CAP implementation at Member State level.
