HomeStudy on the integrity and reliability of high definition (HD) maps for connected and automated driving (CAD)

Following the completion of an initial public consultation (GSA, 2019), the European Commission (EC) requested that a study be undertaken on the reliability and trustworthiness of High Definition (HD) maps for Connected and Automated Driving (CAD). This study, the results of which are presented in this report, has aimed to investigate the challenges associated with HD maps and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems), and the unique services provided by Galileo in relation to CAD.
