The Norwegian Maritime Authority, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, is going to purchase flights on regular scheduled domestic flights in Norway and flights on regular scheduled flights abroad/overseas for four years from 16th of March 2014 for their employees. This also applies to travels with multiple destinations where there are multiple suppliers and there is for example 1 of these which can offer an overall lower price than each isolated supplier.
The upper end of the estimated value including VAT is approx. 5 500 000 NOK per year. For 4 years it is estimated that it shall be approx. 22 000 000 NOK incl. VAT.
The Awarding Authority completed approx. 1 240 flights during the period of September 2012 - August 2013 and approx. 1 586 flights in the period of September 2011 to August 2012. The Awarding Authority states that these above mentioned flights are only as a point of reference and that the total number of estimated flights is uncertain and will vary from year to year. The most visited cities in Norway were: Haugesund, Oslo, Ålesund, Trondheim and Bergen. The most visited international destinations were: London, Brussels, Istanbul, Gdansk and Copenhagen.
The Awarding Authority shall track down the cheapest available tickets through a travel agency to ensure that the cheapest tickets will be purchased. The travel agency shall upon booking automatically offer the best prices and the most suitable options available at the time that bookings are made. The travel agency service is procured through an advertised competition with prior publication of a contract notice. Other publicly available search engines shall be used to find the most affordable tickets available if the travel agency cannot be used.
