HomeMapping and assessment of legal and administrative barriers in the services sector

The objective of this assessment was to take a broad view of the developments in the regulation of services markets and to obtain an overview of the remaining barriers as well as to understand how these barriers have evolved over time. The assessment was carried out in the context of Article 41 of the Services Directive mandating the Commission to prepare comprehensive reports on the application of that Directive. The present assessment of barriers will moreover allow the Commission to update its assessment of the economic impact of the implementation of the Services Directive.
