Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is the national skills body supporting the people and businesses of Scotland to develop and apply their skills. SDS was formed in 2008 as a non-departmental public body bringing together careers, skills, training and funding services.
‘Skills for Growth' is fundamental to the delivery of the SME Support Services offer. This is part of the wider Employer Services activity which continues to be an emerging key business service for Skills Development Scotland. The project meets the SDS vision of a Scotland in which individuals and businesses are supported by a skills and learning system that helps them to reach their potential in contributing to sustainable economic growth.
