DAFM are offering for tender the supply & delivery of a Packaging Solution for Biological Material.
In that regard DAFM requires a packaging solution for the storage and transportation of the badger carcasses assigned to UN No. 3373 Biological Substances, Category B conforming to the Packaging Instruction P650 for liquid substances and capable of holding a weight of up to 20Kg. The absorbent material for inclusion within the secondary packaging must be capable of absorbing up to 100ml liquid.
For ordering purposes, the packaging is divided into the following 3 categories. DAFM will order quantities of each category separately when required. When completing Appendix 2 Pricing Schedule tenderers are required to provide an individual unit price for each category.
1. Primary packaging, secondary packaging, and absorbent material
2. Outer packaging / carrier box
3. Identification Cards/Tags with a number
