Deskrizzjoni

UCLPartners Procurement Services (PPS) on behalf of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust wish to procure two excimer laser platforms including associated diagnostic scanning equipment, and 2 femtosecond lasers for refractive and therapeutic corneal surgery. Both sets of lasers will be for the private and NHS patients, and will include all consumables, upgrades, installation, maintenance and training, without any commitment to the Trust to make a capital purchase. The successful bidder(s) will be paid a fee by the Trust for each eye treated; although if submitted, varying cost models will be considered.
The four lasers required are for use in:
Moorfields Eye Hospital — based at the City Road headquarters in London.
Contract length will be 2 years (with a break clause at the end of each year), with the option to extend for 3 further 1-year periods (+1, +1, +1). Volumes are expected to be around 1 000 to 2 000 eyes per annum per laser. These lasers need to be installed and operational by July 2015.
The lasers will be tendered in separate lots with weighting in the technical specification scoring matrix reflecting the following distinct requirements:
Lot 1: an excimer laser platform optimised for accuracy and flexibility of treatment programming.
Lot 2: an excimer laser platform optimised for routine wavefront guided LASIK.
Lot 3: a femtosecond laser optimised for accuracy and flexibility of treatment programming.
Lot 4: a femtosecond laser optimised for routine LASIK.
All compliant bids will be considered, however the Trust will look favourably upon bids which are more economically advantageous.
Please note that the Trust will only accept bids from OEMs or authorised agents.
