Regno Unito-Londra: Laser chirurgico
UCLPartners Procurement Service (PPS), on behalf of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, wishes to procure two Femtosecond Lasers for intraocular lens surgery. The NHS laser will be a capital purchase, with an associated consumable and maintenance contract. The Trust envisages that the private patient laser will be without any commitment to make a capital purchase and the successful bidder(s) will be paid a fee by the Trust for each eye treated; although if submitted, varying cost models will be considered
The Trust wishes to highlight that the NHS laser will be used initially as part of an NIHR funded trial assessing the clinical outcomes and health economics of Femto Phaco in the NHS.
The two lasers required are for use in:
1. Moorfields NHS– to be based initially at the site in St Anns Hospital, Haringey
2. Moorfields Private – based at the City Road headquarters in London.
The tender will be divided into two lots as follows:
1. Lot 1: Moorfields NHS. Contract length will be 3 years(with a break clause at the end of each year), with the option to extend for two further one year periods (+1, +1). Volumes are expected to be 1,500 eyes for the first 18 months, increasing to 3,000 per year thereafter. The intention is to have this laser installed and operational by 1st November 2014.
2. Lot 2: Moorfields Private Only. Contract length will be 3 years(with a break clause at the end of each year), with the option to extend for two further one year periods (+1, +1).. Volumes are expected to be around 800 eyes per annum. This laser needs to be installed and operational by April 2015.
All compliant bids for individual lots will be accepted and considered, however the Trust will look favourably upon bids for both lots combined which are more economically advantageous.
Please note that the Trust will only accept bids from OEMs or authorised agents.
Expected contract value £750K
