Description

Appointment of a Contractor to scan, digitise, transcribe, index, audit, web-host and market Westminster’s parish and other archival records. This is a services concessions contract. The provision of the services will be undertaken at the Contractor’s own expense; the City Council will do not envisage paying the Service Provider a fee for the provision of the services.
The digital records will then be hosted on a web site set up and maintained by the Contractor, and the Contractor will then charge members of the public for access to these digitised records. The Contractor will pay a royalty/royalties to the City Council in relation to the public’s use of the archives and/or a licence fee in consideration of the rights granted to the Contractor to use the City Council’s intellectual property. The Council is for a period of 5 years with the option to extend for a period of up to a further 3 years.
