Each year the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) holds a conference to bring all its various members together to celebrate the work of librarians across the world and to share new initiatives and best practice. The theme of this year's World Library and Information Congress, held in Wrocław, Poland, was 'Libraries. Solidarity. Society'. For more information, please visit the website of the conference.

For the Publications Office the purpose of attending the conference was two-fold: to deliver a presentation by Mr Rudolf Strohmeier on EuroVoc and to run a stand publicizing the work of the Office.
