UK-Chatham: Servicios de arquitectura y servicios conexos
The Trust's objectives are:
(i) to create a new main visitor entrance to the Historic Dockyard and an Orientation Centre for the wider 'Chatham Dockyard & Its Defences' potential World Heritage Site;
(ii) to upgrade existing galleries and create new displays in The Mast House & Mould Loft (Grade I Listed & Scheduled Ancient Monument);
(iii) to re-order and enhance visitor and catering facilities in the Wheelwrights Shop (Grade II* Listed and Schedule Ancient Monument);
(iv) to enhance the conditions in which the preservation of the 'ship beneath the floor' can be secured; and
(v) to reduce energy costs of the the Mast House & Mould Loft and Wheelwrights Shop through the installation of enhanced insulation and a new heating system.
The project will involve the design and construction of a new infill / link building and works to and within the 2 unique 18th century buildings within the Historic Dockyard.
The Trust's proposals have evolved from feasibility studies and options appraisals, and the appointed design team will initiallly take forward and develop the Trusts proposals to meet the first stage requirements. The commencement of subsequent stages will be subject to sufficient funding being secured.
Expressions of interest are invited from suitable candidates for an architect-led multi-disciplinary collaberative consultancy team. The selection criteria is set out in the pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ).
The Trust reserves the right in its absolute discretion not to award any contract or to award only part or parts of the contract.
