Policy Officer - Security and Defence Policy Counsellor
The Security and Defence Policy Counsellor covers and develops US-EU political-military relations, including CSDP policies in contact with the US Administration, in particular the Department of Defence, the State Department and NSC as well as supporting contacts with the US Congress as necessary. In this function, he coordinates EU Defence Attaches, also covers non-proliferation issues, supports incoming high-level visits and participates in the outreach activities and representation of the Delegation. A country portfolio of high CSDP relevance, currently AFPAK and Turkey, is added but subject to change.
