Which software applications do we use to edit your texts?
To ensure your documents are published to high quality standards and in the timeliest manner, the Publications Office uses a number of high-performance software tools.
OJ Format improves the quality of your documents published in the Official Journal. OJ Format ‘cleans’ the manuscripts on reception: superfluous spaces, empty page spaces and unnecessary text formatting are removed; erroneous spacing in numbers, quote marks/apostrophes and characters used for listing are corrected; and, depending on the language, abbreviations, acronyms, names of EU programmes, special characters, etc. are also corrected.
OJ Format verifies consistency by comparing the various language versions against a reference language version. The result of this comparison is recorded in a report, which contributes to harmonising the different language versions of your documents.
These functions are carried out using “dictionaries” created by the proofreading teams, on the basis of the Interinstitutional style guide and typographical rules.
PlanJO manages the production flow of the Official Journal.
This tool tracks and manages the workflow from the reception of manuscripts to the dispatching to the contractor.
LegisWrite enables the Word file of a document published in the Official Journal to be downloaded.
To obtain the Word file of a document as it has been published in the Official Journal (in all language versions) simply download the LegisWrite version, i.e. the corrected and published text.
