Description

The Assignment concerns services in the context of traffic safety analyses. This mainly involves traffic safety audits. A traffic safety audit is an independent, detailed, systematic, and technical traffic safety check of the design features of an infrastructure project, in all phases of the project, from planning to initial use (Article 4, 5° Decree of June 17, 2011, concerning the management of road infrastructure traffic safety). Additionally, the service provider may also be asked to carry out a traffic safety impact assessment. A traffic safety impact assessment is a strategic comparative assessment of the effect that a new road or a major modification of the existing road network has on the traffic safety level of the road network (Article 4, 4° Decree of June 17, 2011, concerning the management of road infrastructure traffic safety). It may also be requested to carry out a traffic safety inspection, which is understood to mean: a regular periodic assessment of the characteristics and defects for which maintenance work is required with a view to traffic safety (Article 4, 8° Decree of June 17, 2011, concerning the management of road infrastructure traffic safety). This Assignment relates to services associated with the implementation of the aforementioned traffic safety analyses. Additionally, this Assignment also includes traffic safety advice, outside the formal process of the decree of June 17, 2011.
