Description

The Ruhr-University Bochum (hereinafter: "Client") leases and operates a combined heat and power plant with a cumulative electrical output of currently 8.7 MW (2 modules of 4,350 kWel) in the heating centre at the Technical Centre site in Bochum-Querenburg (hereinafter: "CHP". The heat generated is sold to third parties. With the exception of the CHP own consumption, the amount of electricity generated is fed in completely commercially and on a balance sheet basis and marketed by an external service provider. Technical details of the CHP plant as well as a more detailed description of the supply situation can be found in the tender documents. As part of this call for tenders, the contracting authority is looking for a company to take over the technical management of the CHP plants. The fixed duration of the contract is three years (01.01.2026 to 31.12.2028) and a two-time extension option of one year each. Currently, the services advertised here are provided by Stadtwerke Bochum Holding GmbH (end of contract: 31.12.2025). Caterpillar Energy Solutions GmbH is mainly responsible for the maintenance and repair of the CHP plant; the areas of responsibility of the individual actors are detailed in the tender documents. The BHKW is owned by unique Wärme GmbH & Co. KG, a joint subsidiary of Ruhr-Universität Bochum and Stadtwerke Bochum Holding GmbH. Text automatically translated in your browsing language Automatically translated
