Netherlands-Groningen: IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support
The National Archives of the Netherlands (NAN) digitizes the archival collection on a large-scale. The most consulted archives are made available digitally at a high pace. The handwritten and typed archives from the 17th to the 20th century, mainly in Dutch, are not full text searchable. The NAN wants to improve the searchability and findability of digitized archives by: 1) Data entry from digital images of archives, 2) Linking digital images from archives to records of indexes 3) Optical character recognition.
The NAN will use a European tendering procedure to find the suppliers that can carry out these activities. The NAN would like to maximize the opportunities offered by the market. This involves both technology and service. Therefore, the NAN requests potential market participants to answer some questions.
