Description

I syfte att kunna utvärdera en ny teknologi som möjliggör rekonditionering av njurar från hjärtstopps givare till en funktion likvärdig med njurar från levande givare, vill vi använda aktuell maskin från Igelösa, som uppfyller nämnda forskningsbehov.
Stig Steens grupp har erbjudit sig att specialtillverka två prototyper av njurpreservations-utrustning, i samarbete med medicinsk teknik på Sahlgrenska Universitetssjukhuset. Prototypen tillverkas och erbjudes institutionen enbart i forsknings och utvecklingssyfte och kommer inte tillverkas för kommersiellt bruk, men kommer uppfylla de säkerhetskrav som EUs MDR direktiv, artikel 5.5, anger. De två maskinerna kommer endast kunna användas på Sahlgrenska av undertecknad för att visa
att den nya metoden är överförbar på människa. Om forskningsstudien uppvisar goda resultat med hjälp av prototypen finns intentioner i nästa skede att upphandla kommersiellt tillgänglig utrustning från marknaden.
