For the purposes of this public procurement, forestry services in the field of cultivation are a set of works involving the cleaning of land from post-harvest residues, preparation of land for reforestation, reforestation by planting or sowing, after-care of young forest stands by protecting them against weeds, game and raising them by thinning them and removing unwanted trees from the stand for their improvement and stability. This basic care is complemented by forest protection work aimed at preventing and defending directly against disturbances, the removal of invasive herbs and trees, other growing work, the conservation and reproduction of the forest plant gene pool and the maintenance of the forest transport network for the purpose of carrying out the cultivation activity. It is a professional activity aimed at the sustainable management of forests in such a way and to the extent that they preserve their biodiversity, resilience, production and restoration capacity, durability and ability to fulfil the productive, social and ecological functions of forests. This refers to differentiated forest management, taking into account the diversity of natural, plant-based, economic, economic and social conditions and requirements, applied when drawing up and implementing the forest management plan and the procedures under special regulations to remedy the consequences of exceptional circumstances and unforeseen damage to forests.
