Description

The following municipalities (together referred to as ‘the contracting entity’) have joined forces to award separate framework agreements for the supply of organic and conventional food products:
Municipality of Allerød
Municipality of Ballerup
Furesø Municipality
In this call for tenders, the contracting entity uses a new simplified procurement process and a framework contract concept which will make it easier for both the Ordregiver and the tenderer, taking into account variations in daily prices, etc.
In other words, the purpose of this tendering procedure is to find the tenderer who, on the basis of the minimum requirements set out in the tender documents, will be able to meet the contracting authority’s demand for the purchase of food products at the lowest possible prices.
The three municipalities are all converting to ecology. For the municipality of Ballerup, this means that by the end of 2015, 75 % of food consumption has to be converted into organic farming. For Furesø, 80 % of food consumption must have been converted into organic farming by the end of 2020, and for Allerød Municipality, 75 % of food consumption must have been converted into organic farming by the end of 2015. The organic percentage is measured in kilograms.
The total organic percentage for Ballerup municipality’s kitchens currently amounts to 75 %, for Furesø Municipality’s kitchens 50 % and Allerød Municipality’s kitchens 37 %.
