Description

The project aims to ensure the Danube complies with the requirements for inland waterway transport infrastructure as outlined in the TEN-T Regulation, specifically the minimum navigation channel depth needed to maintain a Good Navigation Status (GNS). As part of work package 4, the project plans to deploy pilots utilizing flexible infrastructure elements to enhance low water resilience. viadonau is the coordinator of the Grant Agreements of FAIRway Danube II (reference 22-EU-TC-FAIRway Danube II and 22-EU-TG-FAIRway Danube II). The Grant Agreements define, that within Task 4.1 (Procurements for pilot operation for enhancing low water resilience), the rental of the barges for Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria is arranged as joint procurement under the lead of viadonau.
