Description

The Porvoo employment area will be implemented using the Responsible Municipality model, while the City of Porvoo will act as the Responsible Municipality as of 1 January 2025. The other municipalities in the Porvoo employment area are Askola, Lapinjärvi, Loviisa, Myrskylä and Pukkila. The City of Porvoo / Porvoo Employment Area invites tenders for work ability assessments, which are carried out using various research methods. The purpose and objective of the work ability assessment is to support the service process of private customers and to supplement the available information on the work ability and functional capacity of a private customer in the employment area in relation to a realistic search profession or planned training. The service is carried out as an expert assessment (Act on the Organisation of Employment Services 380/2023, Chapter 6, Section 51(2)). The service consists of assessments of work ability carried out by, for example, a neuropsychologist, psychiatrist, neurologist, physiologist or other specialist. The opinion on the assessment takes a stand on the client's work ability and, if necessary, brings together the opinions of various experts, if other experts have been used in the assessment of work ability. Purchased work ability assessments produced as outsourced services can be obtained from health care units, rehabilitation institutions or, for example, individual experts for clients with a diagnosed disability or illness that is estimated to affect their chances of getting a job. The information obtained from the assessment of work ability supplements the available information and thus helps experts in the planning of services that promote the employment of the client. A private customer, on the other hand, receives information on his or her work and functional capacity, which helps to clarify the opportunities for employment or the prerequisites for applying for training.
