Description

Against a backdrop of increasing energy costs, the need to ensure that the Airport is resilient in terms of meeting challenges associated with the potential supply shortages arising from national infrastructure and the desire to satisfy environmental criteria with regard to energy supply from more environmentally friendly sources; the Airport is seeking to enter into a long term arrangement (up to 25 years) for the supply of energy.
The energy demands of the Airport are 41 GWh p.a.in respect of power and 7.7 GWh p.a.in respect of heat and the Airport has an objective to have all of this demand met under the new supply arrangements before the end of 2018.
In order to provide additional resilience, the Airport will require grid connection arrangements to be put in place under the scope of this project.
It should be noted that the Airport has constraints regarding the availability of land and as such has no on-site land available for a solution to deliver the power requirement, but does have a small site at the Airport available for a solution to deliver the heat requirement.
This contract is split into Lots as follows:
Lot 1 — Heat and Power;
Lot 2 — Heat only;
Lot 3 — Power only.
Expressions of interest for any combination of these Lots is permitted.
