Description

Supply of decorative luminaires for the new construction of the HPQ laboratory and office building. With the HPQ laboratory and office building, ETH Zurich is building a physics building on the Hönggerberg campus with future-oriented laboratory and office use, which enables the exploration of physical phenomena at the limit of what is technically feasible. At the heart of the building are the * D-Phys laboratories with 5'500 m2 of usable space * D-Phys office space with 4'000 m2 of usable space as well as the three interdepartmental technology platforms in the basements * FIRST II laboratories with 1'800 m2 of usable space * MMC laboratories with 400 m2 of usable space * CLNE laboratories with 450 m2 of usable space. Utilisation units: In an above-ground volume of approximately 60,000 m3, the building comprises four laboratory and office floors, a public double-storey ground floor and an attic with building services. The underground building volume of approximately 90,000 m3 is divided into 6 basements, a main building and a side building, which houses the most sensitive research facilities (platforms). Influences from inside and outside the building can significantly disrupt or even make impossible the experiments carried out there. The platforms (laboratories) therefore place the highest structural requirements on the building in terms of vibration, electromagnetic compatibility, cooling performance and temperature stability.
