EMN-2022-07423 - Supply of surface scanner system
Region Zealand wishes to conduct a market consultation in weeks 30-34 regarding the specification for a surface scanner system. Interested tenderers are requested to download the attached Requirements Specification and to fill in the column marked in green with the value ‘Fully’, ‘Partly’ or ‘None’ depending on whether the tenderer can fulfil each requirement. If the column is filled in with ‘Partly’, the tenderer is invited to refer to and attach a document describing how the tenderer partially fulfils the requirement. Below, the region's needs are summarised, but it is described in more detail in the attached requirements specification, as well as the requirements for it are set out in the requirements specification. Region Zealand's radiation therapy is located at Næstved Hospital and will be moved to Køge, expected in 2026, when oncology will gather. The radiation therapy's current surface scanning system was implemented on all of the radiation therapy's accelerators in 2015, but is no longer working. Radiation therapy wants an upgrade and future-proofing of the existing surface scanning system for Radiation Therapy's five Varian (now part of Siemens Healtineer's) radiation accelerators: • A Clinac accelerator - purchased in 2011 • Two TrueBeam accelerators - purchased in 2015 • Two Ethos accelerators - purchased in 2022 The radiation therapy wants a surface scanning system that ensures correct positioning of the patient during treatment without the use of ionizing radiation and with minimal physical fixation needs. The system must monitor the patient during the radiation itself and be able to alert and interrupt the radiation treatment if the patient's position changes outside defined limits while the radiation treatment is in progress. Thus, precise and safe delivery of the radiation dose and minimisation of unwanted radiation dose to the patient can be ensured. The system shall be capable of providing a graphical overview of whether the patient or fixation device is at risk of colliding with the moving parts of the accelerator . In addition, the system must already at the time of the therapy scan be able to assist in determining whether the patient's positioning is appropriate in relation to the location of the isocenter and dose planning, or whether already at this time should be rearrangement to ensure an efficient and safe further patient flow. In other words, the system must eliminate the risk of collision between patient or fixation equipment and the moving parts of the accelerator and ensure that dose schedules can be delivered safely and seamlessly to all patients. The system shall be able to visualise the delivered radiation dose in real time through Cherenkov imaging to visualise and prevent inappropriate dose to normal healthy organs during treatment, thus reducing adverse reactions. This should be used on the same system platform and user interface as real-time patient monitoring, so that both dose visualisation and patient monitoring run in parallel. In addition, the system must be able to visualize both prospective and retrospective (per fraction and cumulative) dose-given relative to the patient's surface using Cherenkov imaging.
38000000 - Laboratory, optical and precision equipments (excl. glasses)
