The Porthania, address Yliopistonkatu 3, technical repairs and functional changes project is carried out as a project alliance, in which the alliance formed is responsible for the planning and implementation of the project and the obligations of the five-year post-responsibility phase. Porthania has an area of approximately 21 150 brm2 and a volume of approximately 69 000 m3. The building was completed in 1957 and designed by architect Aarne Ervi. The building is subject to extensive and demanding conservation objectives. The building was renovated in 2004-2006. The contents and scope of the project are planned in cooperation, taking into account the conservation objectives of the building.
