K901 Furniture
Oslo prison is located on Åkebergveien in Oslo and is the county's largest prison with space for approx. 400 prisoners. The prison is divided into 2 departments - Department A (old Botsfengselet) and Department B (formerly Oslo Prison/Bayern). Oslo Prison Department. A is protected and Dep. B is worthy of preservation. This sets special requirements for all the works to be performed in the prison buildings or land.
Statsbygg has been commissioned by the Department of Justice to erect a new Activity Building at Oslo Prison. The Activity Building has a floor area of approximately 1 830 m². Approximately half of the floor area is a multipurpose hall with double height floor. The remainder of the building is on two storeys. Total gross area is approximately 2 620 m². Other features in the building are changing rooms, kitchen, shop, offices and classrooms. Construction work is fully under way and will be completed in summer 2013.
In addition, Statsbygg has been given the task of purchasing all the user equipment for the Activity Building.
