SE-Stockholm: architectural and related services
Short description of the contract (s):
The Swedish Real Estate Agency (SFV) invites applications to participate in the work of a house architect/interior architect responsible for the maintenance and management of existing furniture at the county administrative residences. The Hus-Architect/Interior Architect is an adviser to SFV and the assignment is personal. There are 23 residences in the country, from Luleå in the north to Malmö in the south. All of the county administrative residences are State monuments of buildings (except for the residence in Karlstad).
* – since 1912, the state has furnished the counties of representation where the county governor has his official residence. These environments contain furniture from the 1600th century to the present, style furniture from various centuries and the design of the 1900th century. The fitting-out is currently managed by SFV. Each residence has its tradition and history which are taken into account in the management and change of the interiors;
— the government representation environment is to be a model according to the Government’s work programme for architecture, design and design and this has been taken on board by SFV. Over the last 15 years, deep renovations have taken place, so that future tasks will mostly relate to the maintenance and management of the inventories. The cultural-historical layout shows different years of time and therefore makes the environment unique of its kind, so that management must be carried out with the utmost care and any changes must be well justified. Change should take into account the old but the new one can challenge and interact. The aim is to preserve and develop for the future.
* – the task requires good experience from cultural historical and representative environments with a high level of knowledge of antiques and different furniture styles, material knowledge and crafts;
— the mission requires a developed sense of gestalking, colour coordination and historical interiors. The work involves being cost-effective, and careful alignment of interests and needs with due respect for established documentation;
— this task includes the management of the budget and purchases, as well as certain additions to maintenance, the establishment of inventory lists and continuous documentation. In this context, the replacement of textiles is the most prevalent.
— the performance of the contract requires good cooperation both in relation to SFV’s management and to the Lessee’s representative and other participants. Where necessary, the consultant offered must be able to direct and carry out investigative missions, as well as to provide a competent overall assessment. The consultant must also be able to carry out related tasks in the field of buildings. The SFV’s management and major changes to the environment shall be consulted on an ongoing basis with the SFV’s cultural heritage unit. The manager of the building is ultimately responsible for the fitting-out management of SFV. Changes requiring extensive design will be made separately for architectural procurement.
* – travel to the residences if needed. As this is a new consultancy approach, the volume of the mission is difficult to define and depends on the development of the cooperation;
— The Swedish Real Estate Agency has an environmental management system and is certified in accordance with ISO 14001 and EMAS registered. The SFV is also certified in terms of quality and health and safety at work.
