Description

MOVAR shall expand Fuglevik treatment facility (RA) capacity wise for the future, and to include sewage water that is now cleaned at Kambo RA, which shall be reconstructed to a pre-treatment facility and pump station. MOVAR received a new discharge licence from the Manager in Oslo and Viken, where, from 2026, there will be a requirement for reduction of both phosphor, nitrogen and organic matter. The project is referred to as "Cleaner Oslofjord", and is again divided into two sub-projects «Nye Fuglevik Renseanlegg» and «Overføringsanlegg». The part-project «Overføringsanlegget» comprises laying an approx. 15 km long sewage pipeline from Brevik via Kambo and to Fuglevik Treatment Facility. This sea and land pipeline will run in Mossesundet, cross the infrastructure between Moss and Jeløy, and continue out in Værlebukta to Fuglevik RA. It also includes alterations to the current treatment facility at Kambo to a pump station, a new pump station at Brevik and renovation of Møllebakken pump station. This procurement, OB1 – Water and Sewage installations (sea and land) is one of three planned contracts in the sub-project 'The Transfer Facility'. The contract will be an execution contract in accordance with NS8405 and particularly applies to laying a transfer pipeline for sewage Brevik – Kambo – Fuglevik. The total route of approx. 14,750 m is divided into seven areas. A ready weighted submarine pipeline is planned to be used. The pipeline will lead sewage from Brevik and Cambodia to the new Fuglevik treatment facility. The pipeline dimensions and SDR classes are planned with ø450mm PE100 SDR13,6 from Brevik to Kambo, Ø710mm PE100 SDR13,6 from Kambo to Sjøbadet in Moss and Ø900mm PE100 SDR13,6 from Sjøbadet in Moss to landtak Fuglevik. Ø700mm cast iron pipes are used from landtake Fuglevik to RA Fuglevik. A new discharge pipeline shall be laid from the existing discharge foam by the beach at Fuglevik and up to 50 m water depth; Ø1200mm PE100 SDR17. The contract will include strict environmental requirements, including the considerations that must be taken for life in water and the general public use of the area, as well as requirements for taking into account the complexity of controlled drilling in the Moss Canal.
