Description

The DLR Institute of Test and Simulation for Gas Turbines in Augsburg-Göggingen is researching new engine technologies by coupling numerical and experimental methods to validate innovative solutions. The technical challenges are high speeds, high temperatures, high pressure conditions and the associated complex load collectives of the engine components in combination with increased service life requirements. For the ‘New construction of the hall for rotor test benches and the hall MTCV’, a feasibility study was carried out, which is attached to this VgV tender as procurement document G_Plan and information documents, with two different variants. Variant 1 was further developed after selection. The new building / extension DLR SG, which is the subject of the call for tenders, will be built in the vicinity of the institute's new building. The construction of the hall for roto test benches and the hall MTCV is oriented along the east-west development axis of the campus and new research avenue. The building will be positioned on the southern part of the property. The urban development concept envisages the main traffic development via a road to the south. The location of the two new halls creates new premises for research and enables new synergies between research and industry. The extension will be accessible on foot from the south, the access and delivery will also be from the south. The internal development takes place via the connection construction. While the corridor on the ground floor serves as a route connection and distributor between the head building and the hall, the walk-in media hall on the first floor is used for the technical supply of the hall. The two halls are combined into one building and structured clearly and simply. The new building can be divided into two legible areas, these are the two test halls and the technology block. The hall for roto test benches includes a test room for SEC, a test room for Busch, a test room for Grace and a spin test bench. Three spring or vibration foundations are provided for the test benches. All test benches are trained with a back-up station and a crane system. An overlying gallery creates additional storage space. Two workshops and the delivery zone are located in the southern area of the hall. The MTCV hall will be equipped with three flow velocity test benches and three UHCV test benches, and two additional control rooms will be spatially integrated. The docking zone is located in the south of the hall. Separated from a central aisle, the test benches are arranged in a two-hip arrangement. The technical block includes on the ground floor technical areas for electrics, two warehouses, sanitary facilities, an IT room and a meeting room. An inner courtyard provides additional natural lighting for the meeting room. On the first floor of the technical block, additional technical areas for ventilation systems, heating, cooling and cooling water are taken into account. The gas supply to Hall MTCV is provided by the auxiliary building. The project is based on a cost forecast for the total costs (KG 200-700, DIN 276) of approximately € 12 million net. The following milestones are to be named as deadlines: Start of service planning: 02.01.2025, start of construction: Spring 2026, completion (construction)/ acceptances: End of 2027. The aim of this call for tenders is to contract (in stages) the following services: Structural design, performance phases 2-6 and 8 in accordance with §§ 49 et seq.
