In order to supply the inner Nordhavn with green and cheap low-temperature district heating (65-78 °C), it has been decided to establish a 20 MJ/s seawater heat pump in Kranparken on Sundkrogsgade. The heat pump will be built in an already newly built energy central building, which has been established together with HOFOR District Cooling in order to enable synergy between the two business areas. In connection with the energy centre, an underground seawater chamber will be established at the Kalkbrænderiløbet, next to the future Roerkanal, to supply the heat pump with seawater.
