Austausch der VMWare-Infrastruktur sowie die dazugehörigen Storage-Systeme
Description

Actual state: Klinikum Kulmbach is a municipal hospital of care level II with 540 beds and 13 bed-carrying departments, centers for age traumatology, endoprosthetics and spine as well as organ centers for breast cancer, colorectal cancer and diseases of the prostate. The special purpose association Klinikum Kulmbach also includes the specialist clinic Stadtsteinach with 87 beds and specialist departments for geriatric and orthopaedic rehabilitation as well as internal medicine with acute geriatric treatment unit. Klinikum Kulmbach has 2 data centers (RZ). The VMWare infrastructure is equally present in both data centers, so that the failure of a single data center does not represent a failure of the entire system. The infrastructure consists of a total of 9 ESX servers, as well as 2 storage systems. Projects: We plan the replacement of the entire VMWare infrastructure, as well as the adaptation of the hardware to the current conditions. This increases the number of ESX servers from 9 to 10. The current storage system with 3 tier classes is replaced by a pure flash storage system. Furthermore, the connection of the storage system to the ESX servers from FC to iSCSI is to be changed in this course. It is desirable that switches from Aruba are offered due to the existing architecture. The failure of a component (server, storage or iSCSI switch) must not lead to the failure of the system. ESX server: 5 ESX servers are installed per RZ. These are connected to the iSCSI network with 4x 25Gbe each. The connection to the clinic network is made by means of 4x 10Gbe to existing switches. The servers themselves should be equipped in such a way that up to 2 GPU cards can be installed per server at a later date. Local data storage is only required for booting. iSCSI network: Two iSCSI switches are installed per data center and connected to the other data center via existing LC-LC patch panels. For this purpose, 100Gbe ports are to be used. The storage is connected to the iSCSI switches with the maximum number of possible connections. Each ESX host is connected to the iSCSI network with 4x 25Gbe (each switch 2x from 2 different network cards). The iSCSI network runs completely self-sufficient, and is not connected to the clinic network or the Internet. Storage: 1 storage system is installed per RZ. This is connected to each other via the iSCSI switches to form a high-redundant network. The replication of the two storages will also take place via iSCSI. An expansion of the storage capacity is to be ensured by the insertion of individual disks. Addition: If additional components are required for the operation of the planned environment (witness server for storage, various cables, lines, licenses, etc.), these must be offered. There must be no further costs for the commissioning of the environment. The access to the clinic network is realized by means of existing switches. For this purpose, all required copper and/or fiber optic cables are provided by the customer. That is to say, offer 1. 10 identical servers that serve as ESX servers (preferably with CPUs from AMD) 2. 4 identical iSCSI switches (preferably Aruba) including all required licenses, modules, cables and cables 3. 2 identical NVME storages including all required licenses, modules, cables and cables must also be provided 1. Number of LC-LC lines required between the two RZs to produce the ISCSI infrastructure 2. Number and type of power connections required 3. Number of HEs required per component per RZ Only providers that can meet all the required MUST criteria are taken into account when awarding contracts.
