Description

The European Social Survey is an international research project involving around 120000 researchers around the world. It is considered to be one of the best social science research data in the world and its quality requirements are exceptionally high. The fieldwork will highlight all the means by which the quality criteria can be met. Particular attention will be paid to the height of the response rate. In order to meet the quality criteria, specific knowledge is required in the preparation of the sample and the weighting of the material, and the possibility of combining different registration data. In addition, compliance with the criteria requires a sufficiently skilled and broad interview organisation, as well as in terms of population distribution. The collection of materials follows the international implementation principles of the European Social Survey. The interviews will take the form of on-site interviews in Finnish and Swedish.
