United Kingdom-Leicester: Database-management system
Database-management system. Leicestershire County Council is seeking to purchase a Property Asset Management System to replace their current system due to the expiry of existing hardware and software support. The system shall be an integrated solution providing the following functionality – property data, asset management, project management, supplier information, asset valuations and energy information. Please note this is not an exhaustive list and further details of the required functionality are provided within the Invitation to Tender. The system shall also have the ability to interface with the Council's oracle system.
This tender exercise is for the procurement of a Property Asset Management system. A decision will then be made on whether the system is to be internally hosted by the Council or externally hosted by a supplier. A separate procurement exercise may follow for externally hosted services. As a result tenderers must have the ability to work with any hosting provider.
Whilst the winning supplier and system will initially be for use by Leicestershire County Council, tenderers should note that the shared services agenda across local government means other Councils within the East Midlands region may seek to utilise the successful tenderer's system. These potential additional authorities cannot be named at this point but where required the successful tenderer will be expected to work with Leicestershire County Council when other parties seek to utilise the contract. It is expected that any pricing for new purchases will be in keeping with the pricing structure for Leicestershire County Council.
