King Carol I City Hospital has its own food block where food is prepared to ensure the nutrition of patients according to specific dietary regimens. The food block is ISO 22000:2005 certified. Our unit prepares daily menus for diseases falling under Order No 1488/31 May 2022 amending the Annex to Government Decision No 429/2008 on the level of food allowances for collective consumption in public health units. The unit has all the necessary spaces for proper storage and preparation of food. The hospital has a Dietary Kitchen for preparing food for newborns and children. It is envisaged to comply with the provisions of Emergency Order No 99/2000 on measures that can be applied during periods of extreme temperatures to protect employed persons by granting a minimum of 2 litres of still or sparkling mineral water to employees during the period affected by weather events with a UTI of more than 80 units.
