The subject-matter of the contract is Prace on railway lines No 68 and 565 on the Lublin-Stalowa Wola Rozwadów section, together with electrification. Railway line No 68 on the section Lublin – Stalowa Wola Rozwadów is a primary, single-track, non-electrified line, except for the Lublin-Lublin-Lublin Zemborzyce section and the Stalowa Wola Rozwadów station, where it is a dual-track and electrified line. Railway line No 565 is a primary, single track, non-electrified line. Under the ‘design and build’ contract, the following construction works will be carried out: site preparation, construction of the overhead contact line from Zemborzyce to St. Stalowa Wola Rozwadów line No 68 and on line 565, along with modernisation of existing sections of the overhead contact line, reconstruction works in the track sector with optimisation of the geometric system, renovation of existing and construction of a new drainage system and section reinforcement of the track, adaptation of existing engineering structures to line parameters, reconstruction of existing platforms and construction of new platforms, reconstruction of traffic control equipment in selected locations, construction of telecommunications cable networks. Carrying out the planned construction works will lead to the adaptation of the track system to the actual needs of users and the following technical and operational parameters of the line: achievement of Vmax: 100/120 km/h (sectional) with local limitations of up to 70 km/h, provision of permissible axle loads 221 kN for all plain and station tracks and engineering structures, use of non-contact surface and switches on all tracks, increase of line capacity.
