Description

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food, the Environment and Consumer Protection of the State of Brandenburg (‘the Ministry’): MLEUV) intends to refurbish the so-called "peace hall" in its service building Lindenstraße 34 a, 14467 Potsdam, with furniture and conference technology. The Friedenssaal is a 266 m2 large, approximately 6.55 m high, listed meeting room in the "Great Orphanage of Potsdam", which was built between 1771 and 1777. After considerable destruction of the war, the building was rebuilt until 2004. Today, the building complex is owned by the "Großes Orisenhaus zu Potsdam" foundation. The MLEUV is the user of a part of the building and the main manager of the Peace Hall, which is used for internal meetings, lectures, presentations and conferences with external participants. The "Great Orphanage of Potsdam" Foundation also uses the hall, including for music events on weekends. There is already a concept for refurbishing the room with conference technology, furniture and acoustic enhancing assets (see Annex 3).
