Description

The assignment includes management, planning and advice and is responsible for the implementation of measures for Mölndal's city's forest holdings. The supplier shall manage the city's forest land in accordance with sustainable principles and long-term goals for biodiversity, social values and outdoor activities. The administration shall be conducted in consultation with the municipality. The commission also includes the development of a new forest management plan. The town of Mölndal currently owns about 3,300 ha of forest. The elected forest manager shall be responsible for managing the forest holdings of the City of Mölndal in accordance with the strategic direction set out in the ‘Strategy for the forest holdings of the City of Mölndal’. The strategy will guide the management and development of the city's forests. The forest manager shall actively consult with the City of Mölndal to ensure that forest management complies with the city's objectives and guidelines.
