Description

From 2007 onwards, Council meetings will be live, in image and sound, broadcast and archived. Over time, broadcasting and storage of broadcasts has become more important for councillors, organisation and certainly the Rotterdam dam. Meetings that “touch” many Rotterdam dampers are being examined intensively. The media and the various political groups use the broadcasts for coverage. From the 2010-2014 Council period, committee meetings will also be broadcast. There are 40.000 people per year looking at the broadcasts. This does not include committee meetings.
At present, the Registry has an agreement to transmit, open and archive, digitally, Council meetings, commission meetings and occasionally press conferences and other special events for the municipality of Rotterdam.For an impression, see http://rotterdam.raadsinformatie.nl.
It has already been stated that the sending of meetings has become more important. Broadcasting has evolved in such a way that it has been given an important role in the primary process of supporting the municipal council and committees, such as reporting and archiving the meeting. Meanwhile, new developments have taken place with paperless forms of meetings, digital transmission of meeting documents, unlocking commitments lists, links to content management systems, storing and opening up via e-repositories.
Where a technical product has been requested in the past, a coherent service is now requested in line with the support of Rotterdam’s politics and the latest developments.
