Public welfare-oriented project development of a former industrial site Markterkundung Osthof / Hallen Kalk in the district of Cologne Kalk
The City of Cologne intends to grant a part of the so-called ‘Hallen Kalk’ in an industrial area south of Kalker Hauptstraße, which is built on several industrial halls and office buildings, in heritable building law, which is located in the Kalk/Köln-Kalk district. In the run-up to the planned land allocation, the City of Cologne is conducting this market exploration procedure. The market exploration is intended to give the city a broad overview of potential development prospects for the areas mentioned. The aim of the City of Cologne is to further develop the Osthof der Hallen Kalk with an external partner. Investors, property developers, foundations, cooperatives or other stakeholders who are interested in developing this former industrial area in a participatory process oriented towards the common good, taking into account the urban development goals outlined and in cooperation with the local initiatives of the VGO (Responsibility Association Osthof e.V.). Any natural or legal person who is interested in the project development of this approximately 2.2 ha sub-area, including existing buildings in heritable building law, is hereby asked to express their interest to the City of Cologne – Office for Urban Development and Statistics. Participation in market exploration is voluntary and non-binding.
