Description

Ekom21 – Gemeindees Gebietsrechenzentrum Hessen (ekom21 – KGRZ Hessen) is a municipal IT service provider written as a public-law body.The main activity is to provide all types of IT services to municipalities, rural districts and other public bodies in the federal state of Hessen.
For the data centre of ekom21 at the Kassel site, the immediate replacement of the two existing storage systems has become urgent due to unpredictable and increased requirements. The subject of the call for tenders is the purchase of two new factory storage systems. In addition to the supply of hardware, the contract also includes, in particular, the software licences necessary for operation, installation services including documentation and preparation of operational readiness (in particular. Installation of equipment in the data centre of ekom21) and system service/maintenance for 36 months and dismantling of legacy systems. The primary function of the systems is to act as mirrors, i.e. both systems reflect the other. Candidates will be provided with a non-binding Key Issues Paper as part of the participation documents and not yet the mandatory tender specifications, as a guide to the further specification of the supplies and services to be procured. It will not be sent until the invitation to submit the tender.
